How can I get rid of ants in my house? They're in my bathroom as well as in the kitchen. They appear just a few days ago but I had the same problem last year. I'm afraid of using poision because my dog, who lives inside the house, eats everything in sight! Please help!!!

I'll have to agree with the cinnamon advice, it worked for me, and we had quite the infestation. Here are some more ideas:

They are coming in to get out of the cold or the wet. So you must have another colony near the house. Go outside and see. There is ant poison you can buy...call Amdro, or Ambro...that you place on the ant hill, then pour like a gallon of water on it. That kills the colony. Unfortunately, it won't be safe for your pet, so you'll have to watch your dog is he goes near there. Also try to determine where exactly they are coming in and seal that area with silicone. Inside, you can buy some ant and roach spray..soemthing like Raid, and it also has a decent smell. But with your pet....you'd have to keep him out of the room....spray the ants......leave it there for a while, then clean it up so the dog can't get to it. I've never tried cinnamon before, so I can't tell you nothing about that. I live in the south, where we ALWAYS have a fire ant problem. Best of luck to you.

Ants become a nuisance when they enter homes. Instead of spending money on costly pest control, you can get rid of ants by removing the food source and using soap water.
