how does transgressing gender, racial, intellectual, physical or national boundaries challenge traditional expressions of sexuality?

Traditional expressions of sexuality are one-man-one-woman-one-marriage.

Now as gay and transgendered rights are being promoted, and very slowly getting protections, more and more people are becoming more and more open about being in different kinds of relationships with people of the same sex, with more than one person, with someone who has changed his or her sex or gender, etc.

You are speaking of evolved human sexual expressions. Get real and stop thinking that humans are malleable enough to conform to your social engineering vision. Why would they want to? You remind me of Joan Roughgarden. Get a sex change and all of a sudden you come out with a book that purports to over throw Darwinian sexual selection. You need to reconnect with reality. This is the real world, not some social science construct.

Traditional expressions of sexuality (at least in the U.S) seem so puritanical as to be almost expressionless. Can't do much worse than that.
