Honest and open is a decent approach, especially if you really like her. Now if that's not an option, do the ignoring thing. Works a lot.

2.walk up to her.
3. open you mouth and speak these words clearly: " Are you doing anything on Saturday? Would you like to go to a movie, I'll treat?" Or something to that effect.
And if she says no, well that's life, some other girl would love to go with you.

give her some flowers and on note write will u go out with me....or do what your heart says is good for her to make her feel comfortable with you ...then ask her..........
