I mean, no-one cares about the remaining 17 boxes then .... I wish someone would deal straight away just to see how they pad it out.

Also why do people on DOND have all these schemes etc. Its luck people. Pick boxes 1 to 22 in that order. Bang, jobs a good un!

Oh and Noel annoys me ......... hes rubbish

Im assuming the first two posters are American, and maybe they do it differently over there.

Over here in the UK I have NEVER seen any more than 1 contestant at a time on the show.

They wouldn't show it on telly, but probably not many contestants deal the first time, because everyone thinks they can win £250,000. I agree with you on those schemes, if it was me, I'd go from number 1 to 22. At the end of the day, you've got 1 box underneath your nose, I don't see any point in the order you open the other boxes!

The game is about the person beating the dealer.Which is why
when they deal, they carry on with the other boxes to see if they
we're right to deal.If they dealt first time they would just carry on.
Then your nice Mr Noel would have more time to amuse you in
filling the time in.

They have to pad it out most days - it's rare for someone to go right to the end. Whenever the person deals, the focus changes to whether they made a good decision or not, and they continue the game in exactly the same way, except people get (pointlessly) excited for the opposite reason as originally.

They carry on as if they hadn't dealt, to see how how the game might have gone. Some people have dealt at 11 boxes and the same scenario has occurred.

If someone dealt at the first deal, they'd still have to play the game as they would've played it, so that's what they'd do with the rest of the game.

OK. First of all, the host's name is Howie, not Noel. Second, there's 26 boxes, not 22. And third of all, they probably would just have another contestant ready in case that happened. And, they can win $1,000,000; not 250,000.

If someone took the first deal, they would just bring out another contestant, just like they do when they start the show with someone who was on it the previous show.

Won't someone else come up from the audience? Isn't how the show continues when the last person gets knocked out/win?
