No, that was not necessarily your period. You should wait 2-3 cycles before you try again. I have been through this twice. The second time, I was told I probably miscarried again cause I got pregnant so soon after the first miscarriage. It was about a 6 week gap. Please take your time. I wouldn't want you to go through this again. I actually took a lot of time to relax and didn't get pregnant again until 7 months after my last miscarriage. I wish you the best of luck.

It may be. It takes awhile for your body to heal and get back to normal. While everyone is different, your doctor would be able to tell you what is normal. Now, you say you've been spotting the entire time, that is normal for a few weeks. To be spotting for that amount of time is a bit unusual, but not unheard of. A period would be a consistent flow a bit more than spotting. You'd also have PMS symptoms, not necessarily the same as before Again, it takes time. Good luck to you.

My doctor told me that most women bleed for about 2 weeks after a D&C - I actually bleed/spotted for 3 weeks, but my body has always been slow to heal. My doctor also told me to wait just one month before trying to get pregnant again, but that may be because my fetus died early - at 7 weeks (I didn't actually have a miscarriage, which is why I had to have the D&C). Since everyone's situation and everyone's body is different, you should really talk to your doctor about this and see what she says. You might be able to just talk to her on the phone instead of having to make an appointment, so call her first thing Monday morning!

Hi - you should be advised by your doctor when is safe for you to ttc again. maybe you need to allow your body to settle back down into a regular cycle first. i am surprised that you have been spotting for 8 wks since your d&c - you should speak to your doctor about that - were u advised that bleeding this long would be normal?
hope you get what u want. good luck xx

just been throw the same thing I did Msc in Nov and have an D&C
in Dec beleive me it is difficult, you should wait to get better physically as well as emotionally
you also need to make sure that your HCG is back 0 or <5
so please have a blood test done and make sure that you also have an Ultra sound to make sure that you are OK and your Uterus is completly clean and ready to carry a baby
I been told that eventhough my HCG is back to 0 I still need to wait or better to wait for at least 6 months
Good luck & Good bless
