No, bettas are tropical fish and need temps in the area of 76-82 degrees.

If you keep them in cold water they will sicken and die eventually.

Goldfish are coldwater fish and if you keep them in a heated aquarium they will sicken and die eventually.

While the bettas and the goldfish will get along together ; It is a bad idea to put them together. For this reason. Bettas are warm tropical fish normally living in temperatures ranging from 74-84 degrees . Where as the gold fish is a colder water fish doing well in 58-68 degree water . The temperatures vary slightly with the different species of fish. However never is it good to mix warm and cold water fish. The temperature difference will cause shock and problems with the immune system resulting in unhealthy and possibly dead fish .

Therefor the temperature differences make it inadvisable to mix these fish.Do to temperature difference in their natural habitat . The fish will not adapt to the different temperatures and there is no comprimising temperature where both will do well .

Aside from the temperature differences listed above, there are other reasons that stocking list isn't a good idea.

Goldfish are a much more omnivorous fish than bettas and require more vegetables and carbohydrates in their diets than tropical fish food has in it. Feeding them separately in a tank isn't easy, so ensuring proper nutrition for both would be difficult.

Also, female bettas don't usually do well kept in pairs. Three or more is better in order to distribute their aggressive tendencies as they establish their pecking order.

It would not be a good idea...Gold fish are, for lack of a better word, a nasty species of fish. They produce far more ammonia than the majority of other freshwater fish...While bettas can survive well in less than ideal water conditions, I have never had a betta survive 24 hours with goldfish. It would be better for the bettas to keep them separate from the goldies.

Yes, they will be fine.
Don't listen to all this bulls*it about goldfish needing cold water. Goldfish thrive in tropical water. The only reason people prefer to keep them cold is because they digest less and therefore produce less waste. The water also holds less oxygen in warm temps. However, goldfish are actually healthier and at optimal functioning in tropical temperatures.
