I have read the Harry Potter series, most Steven King books, and all of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books, what next?

Those aren't the only ones I've read just most recent.

When my niece was 14 I gave her Green Rider by Kristen Britain, and we BOTH loved it. She's written a sequel called First Rider's call, and it was excellent. Her 'hero' is a teenage girl, it's got horses and magic and a little romance, and action, action, action. It's an excellent book.

A book available at Amazon or at the library is The Wolf of Winter by Paula Volsky. I think it's out of print, but all of Paula's books are woooooonnnnnderful. But my favorite is the Wolf of Winter. Again, the 'hero' is a young woman, and there's lots of mystery and intrigue, some magic. If you know anything about history, the setting reminds me a lot of Imperial Russia.

Another 'older' fantasy author you might enjoy is Cherry Wilder. I've always found her books at the library or second-hand book stores. I like A Princess of the Chameln, which is a good place to start with the Rulers of Hylor. Again, it's a young woman protagonist. Each of the books features a ruler of Hylor, and each of their realms are very different. If you know anything about folklore you will recognize the different mythologies that have influenced her, and even if you don't it might make you more curious about folklore.

My favorite book at 14 was Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Don't be put off by the thought of it as 'literature', it's pretty much a pulpy gothic romance with lots of intrigue. I loved it and try to read it again once a year. The other nice thing is that there are several movies of Jane Eyre (some better than others!), so you can read it and then treat yourself to a movie, too!

Good luck finding what you like best, and keep reading!

I highly recomend The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. The first book is called Wizard's First Rule. It is an awesome fantasy book. It blows harry potter out of the water and then some. Every person that has read these books has become a die hard fanatic about them. I very highly recomned them. IM me if u have any questions.

Since it looks like you don't mind fantasy, horror and romance you could try Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot or my book called The Shadow Within by Jenine Wilson. The amazon links for the books are below if you want to check the books out.
