Does anyone remember when Edna's dog died in Emmerdale? I cried my eyes out. The acting was superb from the actress and the dog!

Stan Ogden in Coronation Street.
When Hilda came home with his belongings and looked through them I was trying hard to hold back the tears, very poignant and very realistically done.
By the way Lindsay H I think your memory is playing tricks, it was Alan Bradley that died after the Blackpool tram hit him.

Tiffany in Eastenders, when she was lying there, the life really seemed to go out of her eyes. It was quite moving, and poor Dennis, (the younger) was quite shocking even though we knew it was coming, sad as well seeing he and Sharon were so happy. The moral of keeping ypur job in soapland should be, don't have a happy story line if you don't want to be killed off.

When Bobbie and Tony's daughter BJ died on General Hospital. When they knew she was going to die they had her heart transplanted into tony's niece Maxie. After the operation was complete Tony went into Maxie and put his head on her heart just to hear her new heart beating. A real tearjerker.

Eve from Port Charles - it actually caught me by surprise - usually you can predict deaths a mile away. I have to say also Caleb - when Livvie stabbed him. I wasn't expecting that, either

Daphne from Neighbours (now, for all you young ones, we're going back about 15 years). She miraculously wakes from a coma, has the power to speak one last sentence to tell her husband that she loves him and dies and no one even tries to resuscitate her?
