Almost every college in the USA allows students to major in English, so you really have a lot of chocies! There are 3,800 colleges in the USA.

Of course, all the elite schools have outstanding English departments, so that's all the Ivy League schools, Duke, Stanford, Emory, Johns Hopkins, Washington Universty, Georgetown, and the great public universities such as UC Berkeley, UNC, Michigan, etc

But you really need to decide more about what you want to do in school. Do you want a big school or a little school, public or private, city or suburb or country, Catholic or some other religious group? or a state school. Are you interested more in writing, journalism, literary criticsm, or literature for education....

You might try going to the collegeboard.com website and using their college search system. It is like a computer selection that allows you to tell what you want in a school, and then picks out schools that meet those conditions....
