I saw a post on the main Yahoo sports page of some guy ripping into the Cowboys. Saying they "suck", so I'm trying to figure out how someone can become so idiotic. For goodness sake, the guy couldn't even use proper grammer and he used the word "suck" about 10 times. I guess that is what he likes to do, is "suck", so the word stuck with him and his limited vocabulary.

Its because the Cowboys have the prettiest cheerleaders and we all know how jealous people get when they can't find the same quality women in their town.

I don't hate the Cowboys, but why do others hate the Cowboys. Well, first there is just personal choice. It's a right that we have which is protected by The Bill Of Rights, so they have that right to not like the Cowboys. Second, it could be that the Cowboys franchise has been one of the more popular and most profitable in any major sports. People all over the world, not only here in America, are not only fans, but true hardcore followers. And maybe last, but not the least is the fact that they're just... "HATERS". How can you hate a franchise that has won been to 8 Superbowls (the most in NFL history), one of three teams to win 5 Superbowls, one of two NFL teams to win 3 Superbowls in 3 years, been to the playoffs in consecutive seasons, the only NFL team to win more games in a decade, has the NFL all-time rushing yards leader (not to mention to have another on that same list in the top ten... see Tony Dorsett), and last but not the least, was the first franchise to have an open roof in their stadium so, that God could look down on his favorite NFL team. If Our Heavenly Father likes the Cowboys, why can't we all? Because they have that right to. Oh well, they hate the Cowboys because the have been so good for so long, they just gotta cheer for someone else, I guess?

You raise a good point. I've been a huge football fan since the 60's and have seen this happen again and again. My theory is that whenever a team is a perennial winner they are on TV constantly and the announcers, magazines, etc. make them out to be God's gift to the game. I saw it with the Steelers and the Cowboys in the 70's, the Niners, the Broncos, the Patriots, etc. Take it as a sign of success.

Look at how people are saying such junk about Manning. He's set all the records and now the Colts have won the SB. They are currently getting the same treatment. I guess unless you are the lead dog, the view never changes.

People hate the Cowboys simply because they have been Americas team since the 70's and still continue to be till this day. The Cowboys have always been a competitive team when in their prime, and many a playoff run has had to go thru Dallas. So no matter what you haters think about the Cowboys. They still remain Americas team. God Bless Texas!! and God Bless the Cowboys.

I think the main reason people hate the Cowboys is the same reason that most people hate the Yankees...it's the exposure. Both teams get more media coverage than any other team in any professional sport. People outside of those two cities get real tired of hearing about those teams everytime they turn on the tv or radio. In the case of the Yankees, it's also because they are ruining the game of baseball.

as a 49ers fan i have lots of reasons as to why i hate the cowgirls just like most hardcore cowgirl fans hate the niners becasue the team had many epic battles and i believe if it werent for the niners and cowboys one of the two teams would prob have atleast 8 superbowl instead of both only having 5.
all i can say is san fran was first to get the one for the thumb and will be first to get the 6th

5-0 all time in superbowls

It's just sports talk; being an Eagles fan, I'm not too keen on the Cowboys, but the only reason I would hate them comes down to two letters: T O

Also the Cowboys used to OWN most teams in the NFC, so those teams savor the chance to beat them now.

Now we just have to wait seven months...

I hate the cowboys because they keep on calling themselves Americas team. I travel all across the USA and I ask often "what is your favorite team" Rarely are the cowboys mentioned. The team I hear the most. Green Bay.

The Dallas Cowboys are said to be "America's team". Why would anybody hate them. Unless you are a Washington Redskins fan i don't think you would HATE the cowboys. I mean seriously.

personally, my hatred of the cowboys goes back to the 70s when somehow they got the label "americas team", when clearly the best team in the US at that time was the Steelers.

I dont think that they suck, they did make the playoffs.
