She's turning 73, is Catholic, doesn't work. She like to cook, play cards, eat out, and hates the outdoors. Generally, a stereotype of her era. Any suggestions for magazines she would enjoy? I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP. Thanks!

Check out a few of the Hearst magazines (I used to work there) like Good Housekeeping, Country Living, etc. Get her a Dell Crossword Puzzle book to keep her mind active. Healthy Living Magazine, Martha Stewart, Essence Magazine, etc. Go to any book store and check out a few. There are Tons and Tons of appropriate mags for her. Maybe she has a hobby and would like like a mag on that. Since she can obviously cook, maybe a cooking mag. by Rachel Ray or one w/different kinds of cooking she might want to try.

73 is not all that old anymore! She would probably like Oprah's "O" magazine, or the rag mags, National Enquirer, or some of those at the grocery store, all women, of all ages, like Dr. Phil. He has lots of books out, even his wife, Robin, has one. I think it is called "Inside My Heart". Your gramma is elderly, not ready for cookbooks. I'd say she already knows how to cook, and is a darn good one too!! Don't treat her like an old lady, she's just out of menopause!
