My period is due this coming Wednesday, I know I can test up to four days early, but I would rather wait until Wednesday just in case it's negative so I don't have to keep spending money on them. I was just wondering when you got your BFP? Like before your expected AF, or the day of, etc. I would really appreciate your response! If you're going to make a weird remark or rude comment, then don't answer this!

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

I have gotten a positive as early as 6 days before AF was due. But I have also gotten a negative (and a bonus period) for two pregnancies and found out later that I was 4 weeks further along than I thought. If you do not want to purchase more than one test, then I would wait until Thursday and use the first urine of the morning.

Ok, well i always thought that stupid 5 days early thing was totally cool, and always right.. Well, i didn't test positive until like 5 days after my missed AF. I would at least wait until the day of, and use the first response one (its still the best!). Even though they say you can use it early, i wouldn't risk it. Also, if it does test negative, wait TWO days (or three if you can stand it that long) because your hormones will double.

if you have a Dollar Tree nearby, you can get a test for $1, or try Dollar General. You should wait until at least Wednesday if not Thursday. Test yourself when you FIRST WAKE UP OUT OF BED, this is when the concentration of hormones are at their highest. Good luck!
