How do you get the Sims expansion packs to work?

I want to buy the the sims expansion pack, living large. How do you get expansion packs to work. I'm not sure of how to put them into the game.

You just put the disc in your computer and it'll load and then say type the restrigation code. Then it loads some more and depending if you have two CD's it'll say please insert Disc 2. Then it'll say do you wish to register your product? Click yes or no, then it'll download then you have it on your computer!!

You just load it like you did the first one. It does it on it's own.
