I am 26 and my girlfriend is 27, we had sex last a month ago before I travelled very far away from her location. We had the sex the day she got off her period. Two weeks ago she called me to tell me that she is pregnant for me, claiming that she had never had sex with anyone else but me. I don't believe she could take in on the same day she copleted her period so I am kind of worried, I am having the feeling that the baby is not mine but she is insisting that it is mine and that she would keep it for me. I wish to accept the child on the condition of conductin a paternal test after the baby is born. Please tell me what to do for I am very confused. Thanks!

Please talk to your girlfriend in a non-threatening, non- offencive way. Do not speculate. The child may be yours, or not. Ask your girlfriend to go through a paternity test now. Yes, during pregnancy! With the test results, your options will be clearer.
In my opinion,if your girlfriend goes through with the test, she believes you are the father, thus she is telling you the truth! If she is not sure, she might refuse to take paternity test. Relax and let the truth win!

The following I retrieved from Wikipedia--
"Scientific tests can now determine paternity at 12 weeks into a pregnancy using non-invasive testing methods in many cases. This involves a simple blood sample taken from the pregnant woman's arm. The pregnant female's blood carries the foetus' DNA genetic material which can be compared to the DNA of the alleged father."

Ovulation - the release of an egg from the ovary - usually occurs 13-15 days after the first day of a womans period. While I don't want to say that it's impossible, it is HIGHLY improbable that an egg would have been present when you had sex. Even if an egg was present, the fact that her period had just ended would make it very unlikely that a fertilized egg would have anywhere to settle within the uterus. Fertilized eggs settle in the blood lining the uteran wall. If there's no blood lining, there's no where for the egg to attach and begin growth. If her period had just ended, there would have been insufficient blood lining to support a fertilized egg. Talk to a doctor, educate yourself about pregnancy and, most importantly, get a paternity test.

There is always the possibility that she was already pregnant. It is possible to have one or two light periods early in pregnancy. It happened to me with my son. I didn't discover that I was pregnant until I was almost 3 months pregnant. This isn't common, mind you, but it is possible.
There is also something called hyper-ovulation where the woman's ovaries can release an abnormally large number of eggs at times when she normally wouldn't release any. Again, not common, but possible.
I would wait until the baby is born and have a paternity test, just to be sure.

I hate to say this but chances are you are not the father of her baby. It is very unlikely that she would have gotten pregnant the last day of her period. The best thing to do is to wait until the baby is born and have a DNA test done to make sure. I hope everything turns out ok.....

generally, you can't get pregnant immediately after but ovulation can happen at other times; where was the contraception??? was that being used as well?? the only way will be paternity test due to the circumstances.

My only suggestion is to wait until the baby is born and do a paternity test to find out if it is yours or not! GOOD LUCK!!!

I don't think it's yours... I would definitely recommend a paternity test when the baby is born.

No, in case you positioned that date as concept date it provides a due date of a million Dec. Being a week out is wise yet no longer almost 3 weeks. you may wish a DNA attempt to tutor it yet i do no longer think of it is yours.

While we can get pregnant on our periods, we would have no reason to take a pregnancy test until the next period is late.

The baby is not yours.
