My left hip began to hurt the morning after I had worn a pair of high heeled boots. This is not the first time I've worn them, but it was the first time I was walking and standing in them for an extended period of time.

It's better than it was in the morning, but it's annoying. It's not muscles soreness, but rather seems to feel like it's "deeper". It's also only certain motions, ie bending over, walking downstairs (in the morning), etc. Is it just some sort of stiffness? What should I do to avoid it? (Aside from not wearing the shoes--teaches me to bring my sneakers along next time!)

You might want to watch your posture when you are wearing heels you may have had a slouchy posture and that might be why you are hurting so much. You may also be using muscles that you are not used to using, so you might want to wear the heels for short periods of time at home to get stronger.

Try rubbing on some A5-35 ointment. It works great for deep pain. You were probably clenching your hip muscles without even knowing it. Your body uses different muscles when you're wearing high heels. It would be a good idea to bring your runners next time or try and take a few sit down breaks.

I might go to a chiropractor if the pain last longer than 3 days to a week. You may have just been leaning on that hip more because of the pain, therefor causing deep soreness because of the extended time.you can take up to 4 ibuprofen(Advil, midol) every 4 hrs to help with the pain.Drink lots of water. Also stretching is good but if it starts to hurt more stop immediately.Just try to relax & not pu weight on that side as much.
