so it makes them hard or almost impossible to open for the baby...
so then it can't scratch itself or pull open a soiled nappy and hurt itself...
plus it could be that you are trying to do the poppers up at the wrong angle or they are very new sleep suits...

All of the manufacturers make their sleepers with a different button combination, so it's hard to remember how to do each one (especially in the middle of the night). I just start at the bottom of each foot, alternating legs, until I reach the torso area. I have to say, I do prefer just a onesie and a pair of pants (but then with every diaper change you have to take the pants off and the socks fall off.......)

They are made a little on the tight side so that baby won't open them accidentally while thrashing around at night

cause the manufacturers think WE have baby size fingers, and you may want to try a bigger suit, or a not as bulky diaper.
