Can it run dx 10 games?

The first DirectX 10 games will also come with patches that allow them to work with DirectX 9, so they will play on your card. But to get the full benefits of DirectX 10, you will need a DirectX 10 card.

no longer in trouble-free terms that nVidia helps DirectX 10, yet also Vista. the subsequent step up is a nVidia 8800, yet be in a position to dish out the money. i'm hoping ATI catches up, yet in the intervening time, that is nVidia.

No. It only supports DirectX9.
