No it's not!!
It's Ray LaMontagne and ironically i was trying to work out the same question, well, trying to work out the song name again (hence how i stumbled on this)as it came on my windows player- i had the album on all along!!! SPOOKY
It's called Burn and is on the "Trouble" album, which is totally amazing. If you like this song you will love the rest of his stuff, it is so moving and i don't blame you for asking.

Hi there! I too loves ghibli films and the song from the advert. If we have seen the same advert, the song I believe is by Michael Andrews and I think, not 100% sure but the song is called 'just a thought'
