I really love my career and I do it from home. The company I work with is great and offers 401k, benefits and full training and support. I love what I do as involves helping others and making a good living while doing so. This is not a get rich quick scheme, but a real business. You actually have to do a bit of work, but it pays off. Nothing hard, and no sales.

There are many ways but many are scams.
I would recommend "Google AdSense" which is quite easy to set up to make money online and you could display relevant Google ads on your website's content pages and make money.
To build a website is not that difficult and you could start weblogs which will not cost you anything and only takes seconds to set up and place google ads on your pages and start earning money. Or you may go for building websites concerned with anthing you are interested or specialized. E.g. if you know about cars very well, then you may build a web site concerned with cars and earn money by using google adsense.

Sure, lots of people have home-based businesses. Some sell on e-bay, some are writers, some are freelance computer programmers, medical transcriptionists, court reporters, etc. It depends on your talents and assets that you can draw on. Most probably never got to that point by answering those ads, though. My guess is that probably 95% of those say, "Put ads like the one you answered in the paper, and tell the people that answer it to do the same thing". It's probably legal, but definitely underhanded, IMHO.

I know of people doing medical transcription at home. It's a lot harder than people think. They both took courses and did a lot of practicing to learn the terms and listen to the different accents and inflections on the tapes. Once certified through the course, they work for an agency that sends them tapes. It's a full-time job for two of the people I know.

Great question. There are ways to make money from home.
But usually the people peddling ways to work from home are scam artists.
You have to come up with your own idea....it doesn't have to be a new idea...just decide what you want to do.
here's a few ideas for you:
1 - Open your own website with ads on it, like this one: http://www.RevengeSeeker.com
2 - Start your own cleaning business. We pay a lady $125 every two weeks to clean 4 rooms..and she doesn't do dishes, laundry, OR the windows. There's BIG money in the cleaning biz.
3 - Dare I say "Porn" site?
4 - Do medical transcription or legal transcription work from home....the pay sucks, but it's easy to get those jobs.
I've got a million ideas!
