Not only did Wisconsin already BEAT ohio state. . . they led by double digits until ohio state made a last minute run. Wiscconsin has beaten at the time #2 pitt who is currently #5. . . #5 ohio state who is currently #2 and at the time #12 marquette . . at marquette! Ohio State has beaten 1. . . yes that is correct One ranked team this year and that was tennessee at home and it took a miracle shot to do it! Tennessee was #20 at the time. .

And why is WISCONSIN NOT considered a big time football or basketball school? Just look at both their records over the last ten years. . . what gives???? When is the last time Ohio State made the final four? Wisconsin did in 2000!!!

Part of the reason the Badgers are ranked lower than Ohio St. might be because of the timing of their last losses. The Badgers lost more recently then Ohio St., and so they went down in the rankings, therefore Ohio St. jumped ahead of the Badgers in the rankings.
But let me say this, everyone: Don't diss the Badgers! They have a legitimate shot to win the National Championship. They have depth, talent, and Alando Tucker rocks! Just because Ohio St. had such a good basketball recruiting class does not automatically make them National Champions!

There probly ranked higher because they have a better shot at making a run for a national championship. There bench is deeper and alot of times the sports writers use that as well as who is going to rake in the cash. No offense to Wisconsin as they are a great team but there probly ranked lower because there not a big name program as say a Ohio State, or a Duke. A team who has a history of great sports all around.

The media loves the 'names' at OSU (Troy Smith, Ginn, Oden, Conley Jr.). Just look at how big of favorite they were against Florida in the national championship game. North Carolina, Wisconsin and Florida have all beaten OSU this year. OSU was down big in all of those games too. However, OSU will get the benefit of the doubt with the voters because of their frosh class and all of the hype they have received. OSU is obviously very talented, but I think they might have another bump in the road of two before they head into the NCAA tournament. Also, I don't see them making it as far as the Badgers because of their youth and inexperience.

College Basketball has to do with timing. When teams lose and when teams win. It just happened that Wisconsin lost as the Buckeyes continued to win, even though Wisc beat OSU.

I guess they will have to prove it in the post-season, just like the Gators had to prove they were better than OSU in the bowl game.

the reason why ophio state is ranked ahead of wisonsin is because ohio state got more votes its the votes that put em ahead of every other team
