From my understanding, it would be 37 degrees S, 76 degrees W. Is that right or does that point have a specific name?

If you are 12 degrees south and you travel 25 north, you cross the equator, but wind up in the Northern Hemisphere. 25 (you travel) - 12 (that you traveled to get to zero) = 13 degrees north. If your question states "parallel" they only want the latitude. If you are asked give the coordinates: 13 degrees north, same degrees West as Lima Peru. 13 N doesn't have a specific name like tropics or arctic circle.

If you have minutes, like runlolaro above...you should use them in your calculation...12 degrees 06'..travel 25 north...12 degrees 54' north.
