It would be easier to be a boy. Females go through more adverse biological occurrences, such as menstruation, childbirth, and menopause. Males have always been the dominant gender, especially in society and politics.

I'd say girl. I don't have to ask guys on dates, I can cry if I want to, I don't have to hide my emotions, I get to flirt without the other person suspecting foul play, and I get to wear makeup, which is something I'm REALLY thankful for. Guys just have to deal with the face they were given.
I know men have TONS of advantages but I think being a woman is more convenient in more ways than you'd think.

A boy because girls and women have to deal with sexism and unfair treatment against them that men do not have to deal with.
I think that women are stronger for having to face obstacles that men don't have to, but I also think it is more difficult for women.

Boy. When you're a boy your friends are who you hang out with and have fun with. For some reason girls need friends to create drama.

they don't have to give birth, PMS, cramp all day long, spend 2 hours in front of a mirror, shave their pits/legs/etc, and so on

Both have their own things they have to deal with, but us girls... ugh. Between both nature AND society, there is an awful lot of crap, pressure, and tough stuff to put up with that I would gladly live without...
