No. And I didn't think there should be a remake of Planet of the Apes either and that turned out to be a disaster. Remakes of classic films rarely work out.

No. Deliverance is a Classic. Remakes of Classic's are not as good. Would you remake Casablanca or Gone with the Wind.
: Who could replace Jon Voight , Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty, Ronny Cox . They made the movie.

No as remakes are almost never as good as the Original. Better they do a different style of Program than a remake! There was
remakes of Bonanza, Flintstones, Popeye, Hazard County,
Bewitch, The Fugitive. The Lucy Show, I dream of Jeannie, Blondie & Dagwood, Wayne & Shuster, Twilight Zone, Time Tunnel, None of these remakes were as good as the original.
( I could've named more remakes but I think I said more than enough!)

NO!! As i type this I am watching Deliverance on AMC. I had not seen it for several years. I cannot see how a remake could recapture the chills of the original.

No. Most classics should be left alone. Sometimes it works, but most times not. There were actually some idiot TV mucky mucks in the 1980s who thought that a remake of Casablanca as a TV series with David Soul in the Humphrey Bogart/Rick role would be a good idea! When word got out, there was such outrage, derision and laughter that thankfully they canned that one.

No, some classics just shouldn't be messed with, and this is one. The Longest Yard was another, although the remake wasn't half bad, it just isn't the original.

I'd say not, that movie was intense for its time but now it would'nt be and it would be shame to attempt it. Lets hope they don't so many older movies have been remade and I can not think of a single one that was done well or better than the original, can you?
