I think it's because of the way a rooster struts around and seems so ridiculously proud of himself, and guys are so proud of their sexual organs that they seem similarly silly.

dude your kidding right a rooster is called a cyck..y in place of an o..so a man's member is called a cyck after a rooster's nick name..
