Have been having an ongoing argument about which programme is better/came first?? I say that Strictly came first and was just copied by ITV - however Phillip Schofield much nicer to look at then Bruce Forsyth

SCD finished it's 4th series just before Christmas, whereas DOI is only on it's 2nd series as we speak.
SCD is far superior, DOI is just a rip off. Has DOI increased the popularity of ice skating as much as SCD has increased the popularity of ballroom dancing? I doubt it.
I have ice skated, and enjoyed it a lot, but dancing is more my thing.
Besides, at least the money from the phone votes on SCD goes to charity (Children in Need or Comic Relief). The money from all phone in votes on ITV goes straight into the shareholders pockets!
I agree that Philip Schofield is better looking than Brucie, but at least Brucie can dance to a high standard! Can Philip skate?!

Think Strictly Came First - Phil S a nice guy but Brucie very funny and I only glance at On Ice if in my Mum's house - SCD mucho more entertaining and surely much more demanding - The One Who Shall Remain Anonymous Newsreader didn't seem to be able to lift feet off ice much (and I am a much worse skater than her I'll admit) while Brucie's babes all have to learn new routines very week.

Defenitly Strictly Come Dancing. It is a fact that SCD is the original version and ITV decided to do the same version on ice. If find it very boring and don't watch it. I ve watched SCD though

Strictly come dancing is much better. I love the latin american dancing and would love to have lessons, it's so sensual. Strictly came first by a good couple of seasons.

Strictly come dancing came first . but I liked the father of them all Come dancing hosted by terry wogan and Angela rippon. It is astounding how graceful some people can be on the dance floor.
It is a reminder of a bygone era, with graceful clothes and men looking like gentlemen and women look like Lady's. It is a very romantic image.

Strictly definitely came first. And is much better. And I think on Strictly the celebrities seem to learn more and go further.

i think they are both really good.. i enjoy watching both... dancing on ice is just a lot harder than dancin on a stage.... it takes a lot of skill and balance. where as strictly come dancing uses needs technique. overall they are both really good :)

WHAT A HARD QUESTION I WOULD SAY STRICTLY DANCING AND SWAP PHILLIP WITH BRUCE, HOW FUNNY WOULD IT BE TO SEE BRUCE DANICING ON ICE. THEN HE FALLS OVER, HOW NASTY IS THAT.
