My husband is in the other room watching it telling me it's good....so should I watch it?

There's some pretty good guitar pickin' innit. Some parts of the movie will have you saying out loud "O my God. He isn't really gonna do- Oh yes he IS! He just did it!" Hollywood actually makes too few movies that do that. Besides, it's a landmark cultural reference. You can pretend to know, but it's better to know.

It is one of those movies that everyone should see just once because it is a pop cultural phenomenon, but I gotta say it was not all it was hyped up to be, I was bored. If you want to watch a good classic involving Burt Reynolds, I'd personally rather go with Smokey and the Bandit! Man he was hot!

It's good, but a bit unsettling by the mentality shown in many of the characters - becaue that mentality is recognisable off screen in some cold and brutal people. Its worth watching.

It's a great adventure film. I have it on DVD myself.
Some of those hillbillies are quite unusual,but people like them
are everywhere esp. in the Kentucky hills.

Its a very well done movie but it did for camping what Jaws did for swimming.
