I just read an article on mlb.com that doesn't sound all that positive, despite Nick's assurances that he will play.

If he does play, I'm guessing he'll be back on the DL by early September. He can't seem to escape a season without some sort of catastrophic injury. It's too bad, because he had a lot of potential when he was younger.

What do you think?

He last stated that the broken leg was still sore and that he's still rehabing it. That's not a good sign. That means he will miss all of spring training and he would have to play some minor ball to get back in shape if and when he ever better . By that time it will be September.

He's better off just sitting out the season and coming back 100% in 2008.

Yes, he said maybe June. But they play until Oct. and I think he'll defenitly miss half the year. But hey, the O's have just lost two pitchers for the entire season, in one week.
