You are all retarded. Ich is small white spots. What your fish is experiencing is ammonia burns, and there is no way to cure it (it's not too deadly, either). The only way to get it to go away is with time. Do regular water changes of 25 to 50 percent, once a week. Only feed your fish a pinch of food once or twice daily. Most likely it occurred because your tank was just set up and it just now finished the ammonia cycle.

ok , a fair bit of knowledge on my behalf tells me that ur water needs cleaning FAST, the problem could lie in the tank, Ammonia builds up in the tank from waste products e.g poop, uneaten food, and this all does build up, How often do u clean your tank, If it is un filtered i recommend twice per week removings 40% of water and replacing it and dechlorinating the water first, Also once a month doing a FULL TANK cleanout which means taking fish out and everything inside e.g gravel etc and putting it in hot water to kill all bacteria then washing it thoroughly aswell as all plants etc and wiping the tank over with a CLEAN CLOTH , MUST NOT HAVE ANY DETERGENTS ON IT or any cleaning materials, If it isnt ammonia then i highly DOUT it wil be ick as ick comes in the form of little white dots , Maybe your fish is just " changing Colour" as they do, Try the above and see what happenes mate, Above all, If anything happens to your little friend , Atliest you have tried to find out what is wrong and have made an effort, If he is living with others, I STRONGLY ADVISE that u remove them from the tank and put them in a bowl or something temporerorly so it doesnt spread, thanks mate

If you purchased your goldfish very young (and recently) color changes are normal as they mature: http://thegab.org/Articles/ColorChange.html

Some of the changes are developmental (due to genetics as they age), and some are physiologial, especially in response to light (like humans getting a tan and it fading over time).

Since your fish is showing changes in two colors, I think this is a developmental change. The only thing would be if the white areas are granular (like bits of sugar) or fuzzy. These would be indications of disease. Here's more info on that: http://www.goldfishinfo.com/diagram.htm

Giftfromgod picked the only i used to be going to propose, yet i does no longer have passable factors to prop him for it. Othello is the staggering call for a black goldfish- that he's a "moor goldfish" makes it much greater setting up, as Shakespeare refers to Othello as a Moor.

If it is tiny spots, it could be ick. This is a disease, and you can by a cure for it in the local pet store. Just ask somoene who works with the fishies! You can bring a digiatl camera with a photo of the offending spots if you are worried I am wrong!

It is probably the fungus known as ICK. Get something at your pet store to treat this and do it FAST. It's a real killer.
