Never go back. The key is to be happy now. If you are carrying around all the crap in between...forget about it as it is baggage Dump the baggage you have been carrying around all these years and move on. It is heavy very heavy and their is nothing you can do to change the past.Be the best person you could possibly be....Be Yourself. Also avoid the booze.

I wish I could go back in time to the time where my heart had not been broken so many times by my fiance! I don't know that I'd like to erase ALL the years between, as there are some very good memories there; but I certainly would like to go back and take away all the heartache. I know you asked about a time when we were at our "happiest" but I was my happiest before I knew all that I know now. Without going into too much detail, the time when I was my happiest was before I found out what a liar and cheater my fiance was. I loved him completely, unconditionally, and trusted him with my heart. He broke my heart over and over and over again....who wouldn't want to go back and change all that heartache??

I wish this all the time, I wish I was like 8 again. 8 year olds have no worries in the entire world, the worst possible fate is having to have a bath. Days can stretch for years and you can eat a bowl of custard without getting weird looks. 8 year olds don't know how good they get it. I didn't.

I wish I had gained my qualifications at school instead of eventually coming to my senses and studying for years after. To those who can't get away from school quick enough think again. Big difference studying in a rent free home, no overheads, well fed etc than trying to do it with mortgage, kids, high bills etc etc etc School was a happy time but most people, especially me didn't realise it.

No. If I went back in an attempt to erase all the hardships I've had then I wouldn't be the strong-willed man I am now.

I would go back to my childhood, as I had such a happy one. My parents were Strict, but fair, we never disrespected our parents, and they treat us the same. No back chat ever occured in our home, not like now. I loved my parents, they always took us on holidays, and made sure Christmas and birthdays were always happy. We were'nt rich, far from it, my parents worked all hours, especially my dad, and we all sat down together at the table for our meals. What changed...... everything.

i think everyone has this thought at some time or another, i know i do. I'd go back to 17 again, best time of my life.
as much as there is plenty i would avoid or change altogether with some past incidents i dont think i could bring myself to actually change even the worst of things as our pasts and experiences make us who we are and everything happens for a reason regardless of how hard it is to accept.
