Oh no, please don't...but I could be amused at sandals with socks, whereas the denim shorts would just be embarrassing for us both.

Stick with the denim shorts, but make sure they go down to you knees or just below. Don't even think about socks with sandals.

I have to go with the denim shorts. Sandals with socks just reminds me of my grandfather! LOL!

Denim shorts, cut real short, with no underwear so they end up playing peek-a-boo with you.
Helps when "sizing up" a date.
