I need help finding a topic for a 12 page college research paper, I want it to be more unique. I DONT want to write about abortion, gays, or any of the usual topics, any ideas?? I would greatly appreciate it, and just keep in mind that i have to stretch it to 12 pages, and i either have to agree/disagree with it. thanks

How about writing about traditional healing versus modern healing. Cultures all around the world have different types of healing and they have been used and have been effective for centuries at the same time there is modern medicine that is very effective. Exploring these different types of healing is interesting and unique.
Another mental health idea is to explore different mental health phenomenon in various countries. Many people don't know this but there are mental health disorders in other countries that are VERY different from anything that we would think of in this country.
Oh and to go with the mental health topics. You could look into schizophrenia. America (and maybe Europe) is the only country to have a long term prognosis for schizophrenia, in other countries it is curable.
