Will these morons actually get anything DONE or will it be back to the future with lots of smoke and mirrors but little being accomplished except for somewhat higher taxes, growing bureaucracies, handouts to teachers' unions, trial lawyers, and enviros and all the rest we've seen before?
What about war, health care, immigration, the coming entitlement / baby boomer collision, global warming, and all the rest. Knowing these losers have no moral courage can we expect them to even address these issues head-on so the country can move forward instead of continually staying stuck in the same place?
"Answers" with nothing but raving about how terrible the opponents of Little Nancy and Ho-Hum Harry are WILL BE REPORTED so, if you've nothing to say, keep it to yourself!

The only saving grace is that the House can't do much of anything without the Senate in lock step and with a little backbone. the Senate will stop any nonsense bills originating in the House. If they don't, then my cousin Veto will step in.

I expect that the Congress will get more work done, having already expanded themselves from the previous 4-day workweek to a 5-day workweek (and, just this week, cancelled a week's vacation for the Senate because filibusters kept them from finishing the business they'd started--Senators Clinton, Obama, and McCain all had to cancel other appearances because of this). Last year's Congress met less often than the so-called "Do-Nothing" Congress of Truman's administration.
I expect them to add a needed dose of balance to a government that has been singularly one-sided for the last six years. When both the executive and legislative branches are dominated by one party--no matter which party--they tend to get power happy and one-sided, forgettting that their job is to represent the WHOLE country.
And I *hope* that they will reverse the worst Constitutional grievances of the so-called Patriot Act.

When the U.S. Supreme court ruled that TAXES were unconstitutional upon the American Citizen they passed the illegal 16th amendment that destroyed the 4th and 14th amendment with the establishment of the IRS. All the FDR liberals are concerned with is increasing taxes, establishing socialism and redistribution of the wealth to non working lazy individuals thereby creating a fascist society. 1943 was the beginning of the end for the middle class American. They are a defeatist political party with only one goal - The destruction of the American way of life. Clinton Taxed the American by 241 billion dollars - that was an increase of taxes to what we were already paying. The minimum wage bill they are trying to pass reduces taxes on business by 1.3 billion dollars but increases taxes in other areas by 1.4 billion dollars. Gee I wonder who is getting that burden.

Great work for real Americans. They already did more in the first 42 hours than the republican't congress did in 12 years. Passing a higher min. wage, honoring the troops and saying no to Bush's bad idea of sending more troops to die in Iraq, passing what the 9/11 commission said to keep us safer, cutting costs of college loans, pay go to limit Bush borrowing and spending $billions and $billions, trying to figure out where all the money Bush wasted went and much more. Much more they those republican'ts!

It is not the Democrats who are at fault for not getting stuff done. It is the Republicans who are mad because they feel that Congress should be nothing more than an obedient rubber stamp for Bush. They're the ones who throw up roadblocks every time Congress tries to get something done.

They'll get more done then the "do nothing Congress" that worked 93 days a year. "Little Nancy" is making Congress be in session 5 days a week! can you believe it? before they had to work 3 days a week and that was too much!
These are facts theyr'e going to work longer, but I don't know if they will get more done, so don't report me.

IF, they can control themselves, they are going to try to fool the people, until the election in 2008.
IF, a Democrat is elected president, there will be Commie Goose Steppers coming after us.
Taking away our paychecks and our freedom.
