Not to be rude or anything like some people might give answers like non of your buissness but I want to know if you are a flyer in cheerleaidng how much you weigh cuz I know i should lose weight but I wanna see if there are other flyers just as or heavier then me so please answer truthfully:) thanks a bunch!

As a past high school and college cheerleader and current coach, I have to say that this question can be a hard one to answer! I was a flyer in high school (at 115 pounds) but not in college (at 108 pounds)
The skill comes in the strength and dexterity of the bases. I currently have 4 bases that can easily lift a 125 pound girl. They weight train and although it is easier for them to lift our 110 pound fliers, there are times that we have lifted a heavier girl.
If you want to be a flyer, I would suggest that you work on balance. Even weight distribution will help your bases. So, do your arabesques, heal stretches, liberties, etc. on the ground and hold them for as long as you can. I have my girls work toward a 20 second stance. This will give you the confidence you need should you be chosen as a flier.

well, how much do u weigh? Cause, if your a little on the heavy side, then maybe you should try being a base, or if u really want to be a flyer, loose weight.

I'm 102, but some of our flyers are like 120, they just know how to hold their weight

I'm 80 and I'm on a Senior 2 All-Star team but I'm not a flyer. We have younger kids on my team that way less.

i am a flyer and i am 100, there are people on my team that are heavier but they are really really flexible.
