What state of mind are they in when they make it? A donkey in my neighbourhood is very loud and i am wondering wether it is treated bad or not...

It doesnt mean that he is being treated bad. He could be lonely or happy or excited. My friend has a donkey and when we would take the horse out to saddle her up the donkey would get mad/sad and start making that sound.

Its just the noise that they make. Like dogs barking or cats meowing. Just make sure he does have water, food, and forage.

That's just the sound donkeys make. They're very loud, yes, but his talking doesn't necessarily mean that he's being mistreated.

My donkey does that when he's hungry. I feed him on a schedule. But make sure that donkey has grass or hay he/she can eat.

Just the same way a sheep baas and a pig oinks... they are made that way... just their way of communicating.. Hope this was helpful!
