I'd put making a decision on ice, until you raise her awareness of the fact that constant talk of the titanic is scuppering all conversation and hardly keeping you riveted.

Tell her anyone that was old enough to remember it is dead, the ones that are still alive today, were too young at the time to remember it. It's a "DEAD" Issue. We have Radar now, Sat. Navigation, auto. pilot, faster ships so that the nothern routes don't need to be taken to save time, air travel too.
