I saw him on TV the other day, the Bill Maher show, and he admitted he made a mistake! on his vote in support of the Iraq war before the war. Wow! I didn't know politicians could admit mistakes! He seems refreshingly honest. I don't know if 4 years experience of governor is enough, but he does seem more honest than Hillary and many politicians I've seen lately. I would like to find an honest and experienced politician combo. Don't know if that exists though!

Edit: Well, Hillary said she was misled re: her vote and Edwards said he made a mistake re: the vote. That to me is two different things. To me, she is still not admitting she made a mistake, although I guess some could think so. I think Edwards is a little more honest, and that is one example.

Unlike other candidates John Edwards worked hard for everything he has. He came from a middle class family and knows how hard it is to get ahead in life. More than anyone else he seems to use common sense and middle grounded aproaches to solve the nations problems. He does not seem to be a polititian, something we truly don't need anymore of in Washington. He truly cares for people and this nation. I believe he is the best person for the job. He isn't part of the "good old boy" mentality that has been plaguing us for the last 7 years.

In reply to Karen up above, she seen Edwards admit he made a mistake in voting for the war, well darn, Hillary said the same thing. Their all going to say, now, what they know the public wants to hear. Now had the war been going better, they would have all stood up and crowed," I knew it, I had the good judgment to vote for it." Its all so lame on their part and you should be able to see through it.
Now in answer to the question, I hope he doesn't get in, he has just been an ambulance chaser. The greater share of lawyer's get rich off someone else's misery.

He seems to believe he can make things better for all. When he speaks I really see someone who wants to make our country in every way. Other presidents just kind of pick a part of the population to serve and do it. I believe Edwards being a Southern democrat will serve are country best. He basically seems like another Jimmy Carter with one tremendous advantage...I believe that he like Mccain would be a maverick making decisions that piss off both liberals and conservatives all the time but in the end is best for all of us. That is also why would never win. Both ends of the idiot political spectrum would try to crush him.
