I read this book as a kid and loved it to death. I saw and read the previews and thought Disney was nuts changing up the story the way they did and vowed not to go see it. Then I read a ton of reviews on the movie that were written by outraged parents saying how it was like the book and the girl does die at the end and that movie should have been rated pg13. Disney so perverted their advertisement of the movie, I feel so badly for the little kids who went to see it and became traumatized and saddened by it. Damn Disney once again for screwing up the kids by trickery. I did want to see it after I found out it wasent that badly altered- but I refuse to pay Disney. Screw that.
Tell me what you all think!
All opinions are welcome!

Im saying is first, they screw up for people who know the story and make them think its a dumb kiddy movie- thats the first deception- second deception is that it is in fact not a kiddy movie so now ppl like me and the kids are screwed thanks to thier false advertising. And im more concerned in the children's case than my case. Their advertising is screwed up!

Thanks for saying all opinions are welcome... Well, i thought the movie was good, i liked it a lot. And at the sad parts i heard people sobbing and people clapped really hard in the end. But i do agree it should have been PG-13 because its an extremely sad movie to me.. i almost cried when i read the book, and i tried battling tears during the movie.

Welcome to the world of movie trailers. The first complaint I heard about when the first Star Wars film came out the trailers were showing the Death Star exploding. Trailers are there to get you to see the movie. The best scenes could all be in the trailer. I've heard some trailers show scenes that were not in the movie at all. If you want to actually know what the movie is about, read the reviews.

A e book that is "sturdy" adequate to be made right into a action picture is popular and nicely-conventional. i do no longer think of they might make a action picture on a e book that may no longer ny circumstances Bestseller. they may be classics like Jane Eyre or only fads like Twilight. the two way, they very hardly make sturdy variations of the novels. once you write a singular, that is written in blood, sweat and tears. With writing you create, with filming you're only changing the story to a diverse media. i'm advantageous that is stressful paintings, regardless of the undeniable fact that that is only no longer comparable to writing a singular. regardless of the reality that that is all particularly subjective. I advise, Pan's Labyrinth became into astounding and that has blood, sweat and tears written throughout it.

If parents know the book and have any doubts about a movie, they should find out more about it before they take their children to see it. You think children weren't upset about 'Old Yeller'? Or 'Bambi'? These movies were faithful to the books as well.
Not see the movie? This is based on a book that I recommended to students, that we always included in our 'Banned Books We Have Read' list. Of course I'm going to see it!

thank you for running the movie. If you think kids are traumatized by this movie what about movies like Where The Red Fern Grows, Old Yellar, Bambi, Chronicles of Narnia, and Sleeping Beauty. you sound like one of the persons who claims Disney made pornographic movies. Just because Mickey Mouse did not wear cloths in his first cartoon. Mice don't wear clothes. Kids will not be traumatized by this movie. Have you seen it yet? Do not speak against this movie unless you have seen it.
