I will be staying with my family in Singapore for a week, could anyone please suggest a suitable hotel for my husband, myself and my 3 children......
We would like to be in the same room, I would like to close to the main area's or a resort just outside of the city

Garden Hotel is close to Orchard street and they have two swiming pools. The price per room last time I stayed was under 100 SD.
Also check out the Orchard Parade Hotel. They're a family friendly hotel and they have rooms designed for visiting families.

Hi we spent a week in Singapore and the hotels seemed to be of a high standard. We jumped around a bit a couple of nights in each. We searched for standby hotels Singapore on Yahoo. We feel we got the best price available but you also get other guest comments and a map option. This will also work with Hong Kong. Have fun.

There's some good suggestions above although many of the larger hotels tend to be a little inpersonal ... but they do have good facilities for children.
Try some of the larger family hotel rooms by digging a little into the offers and viewing the rooms, plus also consider a serviced apartment which gives you more space, but no room service.

u can go to geylang rd where the hotels r quite fair in prices n it's nearer to airport there.
