The amount of money a person has seems to effect just about everything in a person's life. But what if everyone made the same amount of money? Would the world be a better place?

In the Star Trek version it works. But then they reached a level of humanity where it was possible. We've got a long ways to go to reach that level. Greed and envy are still welcomed and even admired in our society where more is better.

Still, sounds like it would make a nice little experiment in some remote village other than in the Amazon, for one. A few tribes there live very well without money. Suspect that they have some of the same issues though, even without money. But, maybe their world is better than ours.

I think it's a nice idea but perhaps idealistic. A huge number, in some places the majority of people are motivated by money so I'm not sure that this system would encourage people to work as hard or to accept challenges so this system may encourage laziness or an inability to do your best. ie earn the same amount for doing as little as possible.
just a thought.

Look at the economic shape of the world with economic classes. Without classes...a more economically viable world.

People would think of ways to cheat each other out of their money or steal it, and the class system would rise up once again.
