Oh My god, do I ever!!

Here is a typical shopping trip for me -

Fella point blank refuses to go untill we have absolutley no food in the cupboard. When we eventually go, he is already in a stinking mood before we get in the car. We pull up to Tesco car park, it is full of morons who cannot park and chavs overturning trollies in empty spaces. We argue about road rage towards other drivers who cant park.
We get out of the car and go to get a trolley. We argue about whether we need a deep trolley or a shallow one.
We head for the door, cannot get through because a load of chavs/ignorant adults have decided this is the perfect place to stop and have a conversation.
We negotiate our way around the aisles, dodgy the stupid parents who let kids push trolleys and old people who cannot read the labels.
I scream at some stupid family who think grocery shopping is a family outing and mum, dad and all 3 kids have to come.
We are now so stressed we have forgotton half of what we need and head to the checkout.
The stupid greb girl behind the counter looks like she might slit her wrists any minute and as she mutters "are u alright packing" I tell to crack a smile for gods sake, shes getting paid for this bullsh*t. We pay as quick as possible, argue all the way back to the car about how bloody much my tampax cost and why I cant just use toilet tissue. More road rage through the car park and swearing at the driver who has just swereved and nearly hit us avoiding our trolley which we abandoned mid-argument.
We dont go again for 6 weeks.

Ive just done ours on-line, and we even managed to row about that!!!!!

I LOVE to grocery shop, especially at a whole foods store. I only buy what I need for a day or two, so I can shop everyday. It is one of my joys. Yes, the other shoppers can be a bit wearying, but I just laugh at their oddities, usually. My 12 year old loves to shop with me. Make it fun, not a necessary evil. I usually can find some ding dong in the store to poke fun at behind their back, lol I especially love the nerds who grab the pushcart, then stand RIGHT in the doorway reading their grocery list. You just want to smack em upside the head with a cactus and say "surely someone has blocked your way before-dont you learn anything? lol

Yes i find shopping very stressful, people can be so rude. Everyone seems to be in some kind of daze once they get into the store. People that have conversations with people they know and stand and block "traffic" need to be ticketed. I mean really is this a place to have a long conversation with a friend, take them out and do lunch for goodness sake.

That is why I only shop online. I can't stand waiting in line, behind some lady with a freaky sneezing baby or an old lady with a sack of quarters. With the internet, I can buy all my groceries and they come to my door. Why bother with that grocery store crap?

I hate grocery shopping. Choices are limited here and it's hard to come up with different ingredients for meals. Nirvana = no need for food or cooking or grocery shopping, just an occasional meal by choice!

Yes, and omg I almost threw canned veggies at this lady in the aisle yesterday... she would NOT move or acknowledge me standing there. And then I ran into her again! I swear, next time I'll go in armed with a 2-liter of anything, and the FIRST person who pisses me off I'm going to shake the bottle and pop the top a bit over their cart of goodies.
Grr.

yes, i just have the worst memory ever and bits of paper with scribbles of lists always seem to get lost. So when im running round my local store, tryin to grab everything ive remembered, there's always doddery old women+men wandering around, aimlessly looking (bless them, they cant help it) but it drives me crazy. Also people who just leave their trollies to look at things and block an entire aisle. Food shopping is not good in my experienc. Clothes shopping on the other hand......

Not really stressful... But you see, I think that shopping carts should have the same rules as cars. You go down the right side of the aisle. It annoys me so much when someone's in my way, going in a completely idiotic direction.

No, it is a lark for me. It is the only way I get out to visit my neighbors as I live backwards on night shift most of the time. There is not much to do, as you might have guessed, in our small town.
