Medela has microwave sterilizing bags - you put in your rinsed bottle parts, add 2 oz. of water, and microwave for 3 minutes. Everything comes out clean and sterilized, and you can reuse the bag 20 times. Super easy, portable, and fast.

Boiling the bottles can cause the chemicals from the BPA to leach into the bottles, so if you choose to continue using them I would try to avoid boiling them. Canada recently banned BPA bottles and until then I had no idea that there was anything harmful in the bottles, and of course I boiled mine after every use. I liked the bottles I had so even though I could have returned them to the store for a full refund I chose to keep them and just avoid boiling them or using water that was too hot in them.

We never sterilized bottles. They just went in the washing up with everything else. Never had a problem.

with a bottle brush, and they come with a smaller brush to wash the inserts with. You can boil them as well, if you want to sterilize them. But soap and water is great, even buy detergent that is antibacterial.

Hot soapy water... bottle brush... throw everything into a big pot of boiling water, and boil hard for 5 minutes... place them on a clean towel to air dry.
