Well, we wouldn't have Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, or in my opinion God. So in the first two cases, I would say we would miss an enjoyable aspect of life. However, if lies did not exist than we could not have truth. I think life would be pretty boring with this aspect. Other lies though, such as politicians lying, and many other such examples, would be nice to eradicate.

In a way it would be better. In others it would be a much more horrible place to live.
I like to call the lies that are worth existence Honest Lies.
An honest lie protects those who might be harmed by certain information. The real question needed to be asked is where do you draw the line?
HOWEVER.
We all know that if one is to lie to another about something pertaining to say a relationship or businesses then that would just simply hurt the other person.
Good question though. Lies do bring about character. You certainly learn more about people with them. Personally, I expect everything and then I expect nothing from people. Not one person surprises me, because I know that we are all capable of anything.
Thus, we all lie about one thing or the other. Whether it makes an honest lie or is just simply a lie. I find this thing to be a necessary issue for us as the human race to simply embrace as a factor in each of our everyday lives.

in a way it would be so so SO much better, but also it would be kinda strange that no one ever told lies. like u have the little white lies (those things have kept me from hurting more than one friend) and then u have ur huge ginormous lies which are just a ton of expensive stuff waiting to be broken.... so like i said in a way it would be better. (NO MORE CHEATERS!!!!) but also in a way it would be worse. (ur best friends boyfriend still likes u.....)

How could you ever surprise someone?
How could you deal with yourself, if you didn't make certain rationalizations just to get through your own faults?
Yikes!
I hate lies, too, but the world would just be full of open sores.

very different, but i think that a lot of it would be the same. there would still be evil. but i do imagine many more marages might be broken up, or not nearly as many people would be married. (with the hole cheeting issue and white lies). some things would be better. ex:friendships, somethings would be worse.
