Hey Hannibal,
The bums that LSU lost to were Auburn and Florida. Florida trashed your buckeyes while only beating LSU. Auburn the other bum beat Florida who trashed your buckeyes thus you're logic makes so much sense.
However even though I'm an LSU fan, I agree with the notion that Ohio State did only have one lost and must be credited that so let them have the 2 spot. USC and LSU both had harder schedules \ but USC lost to 2 unranked teams but trashed Ohio State biggest win Michigan so in terms of skill and talent they order should be
1) Florida
2) LSU
3) USC
4) Ohio State
Boise State isn't in my top 20, the only team they beat was Oklahoma in overtime, big whoop, if they want respect they should play better teams, and yes they do have control over that.

OSU should have dropped out of the top 5. Boise State has no business even being compared to any of the top Div IA schools. Winning on trickery against a so-so Oklahoma team, give me a break. It should have been 1. Florida, 2. USC, 3. LSU. In my opinion USC would beat Florida.

Memo to Hannibal, or should I say Buck fan in denial: OSU did not lose for lack of heart and dedication, they lost because they were an inferior team. A 4 TD beatdown should have been enought to alert you to the fact that, yes, Florida was a much better team. Did OSU beat Texas because Texas lacked heart, or was OSU simply better? Hmmm??? OSU beat a rebuilding Texas squad with a scared, not ready for prime time new QB, they barely beat a Michigan team that was overrated because they pummeled an even more overrated Notre Dame, they beat..., oh yeah that's right, no one else they played was even halfway decent! The stuff of legend?!! Are you kidding me?!!!!! The Rose Bowl, not as close as the 32-18 score indicates, beatdown should have been a tip off that OSU might not have been the juggernaut everyone thought they were... the championship game proved it. Not only was Florida better but so was USC and LSU. Hell, Louisvlle and Boise probably would have given them a run for their money too. Next year you can enjoy the memories of that good, but not great OSU team when you're trying to replace all your best players who left, and you can also enjoy trying to compete with a Michigan and USC which returns most of their top players, a Florida and LSU which outrecruited you, a Louisville whose offfense you're too slow to stop, an improving Texas.....

Because ESPN and others that vote have a hard on for OSU and USC. They really wanted that match up for the championship game.
Too bad strength of schedule (SOS) apparently doesn't mean anything. The Big 10 proved to be the weakest conference in the NCAA.

That's strange. USC or LSU should definitely be number 2. Ohio State should be like number 5 or 6 now.

Absolutely not......LSU and USC lost to bums more than once. Louisville deserved your spots. You should thank your west coast media bias for that. Florida is the National champ......Honsetly if the polls would have been fair then at the beginning of that game the polls should have looked like this..
1)Ohio State
2)Ohio State 2nd team
3) Ohio State 3rd team and Waterboy
4) Ohio State injered reserve
5) Florida
6) Michigan
7) Louisville
8) All the other bums.....
That is what makes Florida crushing victory so impressive and in fact the stuff of legend........Ohio State was the better team except in one way.........They had no heart or dedication. Florida had both and they crused them....and they deserved to win and this is coming from a lifelong Buckeyes fan and someone who likes the Hurricanes too.......
That's ok though the Bucks will be back next year to put the beatdown on you lesser schools like USC and LSU......
My apologies to Boise State...go ahead and put them at number 4 before the game and possibly number 2 or 3 after the game......They did deserve a shot at Florida or Ohio State

USC had losses to two weak teams, Oregan State and UCLA so they really shouldnt be #2. LSU while good, lost to Auburn and Florida and Ohio State lost the National Championship to Florida. If I was to pick a number 2. I would pick Auburn who beat LSU and Florida or Boise State who went undefeated.

Ohio State was #2 because the only team they lost to was the national champions, in the national championship game
that only makes sense
the only argument is if Boise St. should be #2

cuz voters felt that the body of work OSU had put together the whole season was better than that of the rest of the teams...also, shouldn't boise state be on your list of teams to consider for #2?
