I dont know where they are coming from, but I have found 6 in three days.

Spiders are cool, they eat other pests in the house and in the UK there aren't any that can hurt you HONEST! It doesn't matter how many holes in walls you fill in though, spiders will find a way in.

it's because of the damp outside and the warmth inside.
the best thing to deter spiders is conkers, put one in each corner of the room. I read a while ago that spiders do not like chestnuts and these are horse chestnuts. My boyfriends mother uses this method. I keep forgetting to go out and get some.

I have been told that putting conkers in the corners of a room will prevent spiders from going in it. I haven't tried it but a friend has with great results.
Don't forget - spiders eat flies!

get a cat, cats like to eat spiders, it wont stop the spiders coming into your house, but at least the cat will get rid of them for you without the need for chemicals

Hoover Hoover Hoover, but really they do no harm , I read some where that if you have yellow light bulbs on the outside light of your house it stop´s them coming in .can´t tell if thats true or not

Without them you would be over-run with insects and Communists.

Yeah i am the same, terrified of them. I drop the yellow pages on them and I then get the hoover out to suck them up.

You can bug bomb your house. It is really effective. If you have any pets make sure you take them out of the house.

I hoover them up they dont die then get my hubby to empty the hoover
Or tape up the hose until someone can empty it for you

don't worry. if you took time to look closely you'd see that spiders are stunningly beautiful little creatures. their webs are amazing. unless you live in Australia where they might kill you I'd leave them alone.
