Isn't that the person saying, I love you but not enough to let you keep your things if you leave.

Isn't it really a thing of, if you love me you won't make me sign that; and if you love me YOU WON'T HAVE A PROBLEM SIGNING IT.

If the person don't sign it, LEAVE THE PERSON. That person only wants your things, and they will get them some how if you don't leave them.

A relationship should not last base on, one of the people's things will be taken away if they leave.

Stuff comes and goes, but love last forever. Your investment should be in one another. Sign don't Sign If its not mutual then there is definately not a meeting of the minds and alot of fear involved. Mabe marriage should not be the option in this situation.

What you need to realize is that 99% of the people getting married really do not need a pre-nup. Any assets, investments, money, and property you bring into the marriage leaves with you if you get divorced.

People who get pre-nups are the very wealthy. The reason is simple. If you have $100K in investments when you get married, that money is yours. But, if you are married for 5 years, and when the divorce comes around, your $100K is now worth $110K, the spouse is entitled to 1/2 the $10K earned during the marriage.

So, really, for most people it isn't necessary. The reason wealthy people get them is because when you are dealing with millions of dollars, the interest earned on that money will be much higher. So, if someone enters a marriage with $100 million, and 5 years later, their investments are worth $120 million, then the other party would be entitled to $10 million of that $20 million earned. So basically, there are some people out there who can "suffer" through a few years of marriage at the thought of a few million $'s when they divorce.

Like I said, 99% of the people getting married reall do not need one.

It all depends because on my part, i'm young and have nothing of value so it wouldn't be useful. But if I was more established, had property and what not, then yes.

that is up to you. I would not if a guy won't sign a prenup means he cares about my money. if he signed it I would give it to him anyway.
