Concave means curved inward (think of going in a cave). A concavity is a parabola. Light approaches the lens and bent outward. The image is larger than the actual object.

The image is: virtual erect (the same way up as the object) diminished (smaller than the object) nearer to the lens than the object and located at a distance from the lens less than the focal length..
