Make sure that the connector from the monitor to the computer is secure!

There are 3 color guns in a monitor: Red, Blue and Green. Sounds like one of the color guns (probably the blue) went bad inside the monitor. It's usually cheaper and better to purchase another monitor rather than trying to have that one fixed.

Would suggest going to EBay (www.ebay.com) to purchase, if you don't mind purchasing something used. Make sure that the person or business that you purchase from has good feedback!

Power it off and check your connections on your monitor and PC. If this fails to fix the problem, get someone computer saavy to check to make sure the video card is seated correctly as it may have come loose. If all that fails, you may need a new monitor. It sounds like the PC is aged as well, so before you go out and buy a new monitor, plug up the pc to a different monitor and see if it does the same. If it works fine, then it is your monitor that has gone bad. If it does the same, then the video card or the PC are malfunctioning. Then it would be time for a new PC. Good Luck.

If its a CRT, your monitor is fried. If its a flat screen, your monitor is fried. 1 in a million that the graphics card just stopped displaying certain colors, but I guess not out of the realm of possibilities.

May just need adjusting again. Try this first. It could also just be wearing out. Nothing lasts forever. You can buy another monitor without buying a whole computer.

i'd propose checking the video cable connectors. It feels like there will be a pin both bent or damaged. if it is the case, purchase a replacment, heavily examine the connections on the video card and the show screen for any damaged pins that would were lodged in them and in case you do not discover any hook up the hot cable. in case you nonetheless have the problem attempt replacing the video card. solid success.
