Well, a lot depends on how mature you are.

If you're talking about the series of books featuring Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter, I'm not certain I'd recommend them to a 13-year-old about whom I know nothing.

I think there's one called "The Silence of the Lambs," which was made into a film about 16 years ago. It was the second of the four novels by Thomas Harris; the first one was "Red Dragon," the third "Hannibal," and the most recent is "Hannibal Rising."

Hope you've got a strong stomach!

Sorry but I don't think the Hannibal series is appropriate for you. I even found it to be too much for me at 16. If, however, you choose to go against my advice, the titles, in order of publishing, are: Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Hannibal Rising (which just came out, but takes place before Red Dragon, kind of like a prequel).
