My fiance works the graveyard shift & normally he's off at 7am & is home 8:30a - 9a. Well It's 2pm now & I recieved a call from his coworkers wife asking where HER husband is & they usually hang out together. My fiance hasnt called me or anything & I called his job & they said he left work at 7:15am. What should I do? Me & our son are very worried & would hate to start calling the cops for help....

First you should contact the police let them know that your concerned that your fiance has not returned home from his work shift. To file a missing person reports they have to be missing for 24 hours. But this will alert the police something is wrong, you will need to tell them when you last saw him, when you last talked to him, what shift he works, where he works, his work number, his work address, make and model of car he drives, license number of car if you know it, if not they can run the tag by his name. Who he hangs out with, where he hangs out if you know. What he had on when he left to go to work. You need to call the cops why hate to call the cops when 5 hours have passed after working all nite and he isn't home, no phone call. I would be calling.

Call both. Call the police first to see if he was arrested and they may even be able to tell you if he was involved in a serious accident. If they can't help then call the hospitals. With HIPPA laws they may not be of much help though. After 24 hours you can file a missing persons report.

Call the police, right now. Have your friend call the police too, and report her husband missing. They could be in an accident , or off the road some where and need help. Call now, and stop dithering like a nervous nelly. Best wishes

Your local PD...and they will pull up the every record they have for this person..even if he has been in HOSPITAL...so you dont need to call every HOs. but do call police department and ask if they can do a search on missing person name first. Or you can hire a Private Investigator to ...work more faster...and PI will take care of every thing.

Call his cell? His other friends? After 24 hours then you can call the cops. Before that I don't think the cops are goingto do anything but call just to get info.

Dont be afraid I always say it's better to be wrong than to do nothing.
my husband was 5 hours late last week and I was getting calls people wanting to know where he was "he is a school bus driver".
He got lost on a back road. it was horrible they said there was a kid missing and my husband couldnt be found I called everyone everything is fine now

Is there anyone else you can call? A family member or someone else? I think you have to wait 24 hours to call the police.

There is certainly no harm in calling the police now. They can tell you if there has been a car wreak and they can check the hospitals for you.
Its their job. Call them.

Since he is an adult, you have to wait at least 24 hours, befroe the cops woul deven consider doing anything,,,

you cant fiel a missing persns report untill 48 hoursa has passed. he probably went for a drink with his buddy, maybe shoot some pool. I wouldnt worry.
