Why not focus on how you're selling instead of what you're selling. Chances are whatever your product is there are other people selling the same thing. So if you discount it, they can discount theirs even lower, What can you offer the consumer that the others don't.
I buy all my tools at the Lumber yard company, they charge more than anyone else, but I don't care. (within reason ofcourse) the reason I always go there is
1) the provide complimentary cookies and coffee.
2) The sales people and management know me by name and always take the time to say hello.
3) I know that they have quality products and knowledgable staff and value my business.
If your customer does buy your product, what can you do to make him think of you first when he buys next time.
Think like a buyer not a seller. What would make you buy, and stay a loyal customer. Lower prices are everywhere.
focus on these three things
1) Service.
2) Solutions ( your product is just what they need)
3) Satisfaction
Have a customer appreciation day, coffee and donuts.
After you sell a product to the customer, wait a couple of days and give him a personal call, ask him if the product is working to his satisfaction, does he have any questions, etc.

Let's assume that this is an internal meeting and you have to make an executive presentation on how to find new customers and how to sell your product to them.
Below are points that I'll choose to present:
Consideration points from Marketing perspective:
- target customer's profile (age, occupation, or type of business for B2B marketing, etc)
- where can they be found: at their residence, office, time of the day; what they read, watch; how they get their information
-what are their habits/behaviour when it comes to buying and using your product
-where they buy it now, what will make them switch, loyalty
Once you know your customers and you establish a contact with them comes the Sales perspective:
- ask them what they need
- adapt your product presentation to their needs
- focus on your product features
- outline the benefits for the customer
- be ready to compare with competitive products
- be ready to defend your product and to adjust it to their needs
- outline the great deal that you offer them if they buy now (today's special offer, blah, blah) etc.
btw, promising discounts, margins, etc. is slippery road to go - once you start the way back is hard - use it with discretion.
Good luck

(a) What are the critical pieces of information in this problem? Answer: The length of journey is 156 miles, the car travels at 55mph, train travels at 80mph and there is a 30 minute stop for the train at the 78mile mark (halfway) II. Devise a Plan (b) Is there a way to make a drawing of this problem? If so, how? Answer: (30 minutes) 8.00 a.m l___________78mile___________l156mile (c) Is it possible to break this problem into smaller pieces in order to solve it? How? Answer: The train will reach the halfway mark in 58.5 minutes, makes a 30minutes stop and will reach the destination in 2 hours and 27 minutes. The car travels at constant speed reaching the destination in 170 minutes (d) Discuss your strategy for solving this problem. Answer: The best strategy is by traveling by car to the halfway mark (78 miles) by car which will take 85 minutes. By then the train would have reached 26.5 minutes earlier. So, he saves 3.5 minutes of waiting time. Now he continues the rest of journey by train. III. Carry Out the Plan (e) Execute your strategy and determine which method of travel will allow Bob to reach the meeting in the shortest amount of time. Answer: So; 85 minutes (by car) + 3.5 minutes (waiting time)+ 58.5 minutes (by train ) will only take him 143 minutes to reach his destination
